IPF, i.e. Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, is a respiratory disease that can cause damage and progress in the lungs.
Tissue damage caused by IPF leads to thickening, hardening, and scarring (Fibrosis) in the air cells (Alveoli) in the lungs. This causes difficulty for the oxygen inhaled to enter the bloodstream.
